Carolina Sá

Director, screenwriter and author of several audiovisual projects for television and cinema. She directed the Brazilian episode of the Netflix original series "My Love - Six Stories of True Love", shot in six countries (USA, Brazil and South Korea Coproduction), winner of the IDA (International Documentary Awards 2022) award for Best Series of Episodes. She conceived and directed the series "Onde Nascem as Ideias" (Curta Channel!) with eight episodes about the creative process of Brazilian artists, including Bia Lessa, Lia Rodrigues, Angel Vianna, Paula Gaitán and Juçara Marçal, winning series of the Curta! Film Festival & Awards, Curta! documentaries 2023 in the Arts category. She wrote and directed the feature film "Construção", released at the 35th Mostra in São Paulo, with an associated production by Walter Salles and Patrícia Pillar. The film won the Jury's Honorable Mention at the FEMINA festival dedicated to women's productions. She wrote, directed and produced the documentary series "Música Libre" with five episodes about the musical universe of the Caribbean. The series coproduced by Vídeofilmes was shown on GNT, Canal Brasil and Canal Curta! in Brazil and on the BETJazz channel in the US. She directed several documentaries and programs for Canal Futura, Multishow, TV Brasil and Canal Gloob. She is currently developing a documentary series for HBO platform and a feature film for Canal Curta! about the famous musician Hermeto Pascoal.
