Barbara Axt

Screenwriter and journalist, born in Rio de Janeiro and currently living in Lisbon. She wrote the feature film "A Consoada", aired on Christmas night 2021 on TVI, one of the biggest TV channels in Portugal. She created a TV series called "Hospital Moreau" that is currently under development by Tambellini Filmes. Barbara was a semifinalist of the 2020’s edition of the Cabíria Awards for best screenplay with the pilot episode of TV series "Eu Contra Minha Cabeça". She lived in London for 12 years, where she graduated with a master's degree in Science Communication from the Imperial College London, and worked as a science journalist for The Guardian, New Scientist, SciDev.net, among others.
